Not, I hate sleet.
Well, it looks like I have a job as a graphic designer. I'm a little nervous about it, mostly thinking that I've gotten myself in over my head and things of that nature. I'll have to see how this all turns out. The job will turn into an internship this summer, so hopefully that will open up some opportunities for me and allow me to build a good resume.
Spring break is tomorrow. All that stands between me is a 5 page paper that I forgot to do earlier, and a stats assignment. I'm kinda hoping to finish stats in the morning and then do that paper after class tomorrow. I'll have to see how it all pans out. Hopefully for the best.
My spring break plans now include going to UNI to see Debbie, I think I mentioned that before, I don't care. I'll also go visit Diana and maybe bum around the cville mall for awhile. We'll see, I actually really like that mall. It's decently sized, interestingly painted, and has lots of stores. When I go to malls I browse, I really hate trying things on and spending money for hours. Seriously, not my thing.
PSP news. I finally revealed myself to my little Leah. She's pretty awesome and I'm pretty excited about being a big again. This will probably be the last time I do it, so I have to make it count.

Oh spring break or something like it
Well, I suck alot at posting on this, I was first intending to share the hilarious notes that Kalin and I write to eachother, but sadly, I lost interest and I don't feel like going to the library and scanning all the notes. If you are that interested, I will show them to you.
Alright, well, things are actually looking pretty up right now. We recently had a career expo and it looks like I might have an internship for the summer. There are still alot of kinks to work out but it would be in website design and graphic design. Both of which I love, the only draw back is that it's in the ville, instead of StL where I wanted to be. So now I'm in kinda a pickle of staying here with a cool job or continuing my search in StL so that I can spend the summer with Mark. I've been turned down from so many jobs its not even funny. The wierd thing is is that I've never really been turned down before, it seems like I've always been able to find a job when I wanted it, so it's odd to be in a situation where every internship has so much competition. Crazy.
Also, thanks to Rachel I got a piece in the art gallery. There was a juried student exhibit and I submitted a piece and it got chosen. So, you should probably go see it. That pretty much made my day when I heard it got in. Mark and I went to the gallery the other night for it's opening. There are alot of other really amazing pieces. I'll probably go back and peruse some more, I'm a peruser.
Spring break is coming up, I had held on to the hope of maybe traveling somewhere warm, but alas, I really am poor. I actually looked at my bank account today and it made me a little sad. I used to have so much money. Oh well, at least I've paid off all my college bills so far, how many people can say that? Well, instead of traveling south, I will be going north. Back home, and also to UNI to visit one of my best friends from high school, Debbie, to help her celebrate her 21st in style. I am now also 21. It's a good feeling. Last week I helped Kayleigh ring in her 21st year of life at the bars. I don't know why I have so many friends born in this month, it's seriously starting to freak me out. I will probably also go to StL, but I don't have anything set in stone yet.
About living in the ville again this summer. One of the perks is that I've been here before over the summer, and I do enjoy the laid back atmosphere. It will also be nice doing something I enjoy, instead of the day in and day out of redundant retail at Home Depot. I also really like the farmer's market that is here during the summer. My summer is still very much up in the air but it's starting to take shape, I just hope that I can fit Mark into the equation more.
That's about it, I guess. I'm changing the layout of the page again. I'm sick of this one and I don't feel like creating a new one, so I'm just using one of the pre-made ones. I know, I'm a sell out.

Stupid notes from equine physiology

I know what you are thinking...
You're thinking...Kate, why do you suck so much? I dunno, I just do.
Actually, I'm less sucky because I recently brought my laptop in to get repaired, so hopefully more frequent updates will be available to you. I know, I know, my life is just so interesting that you are thinking, kate, how can you go so long without updating, surely your little mind cannot possibly hold all the fantastic events that you are subject to. Well, my answer to that is...I'm a college student, so actually, my life is fairly mundane, well, at least to the casual observer. I mean, I like my life, but it would definetely make a really crappy reality show. Although, I've often wondered what it would be like to be on a reality show, but I'm pretty sure people would find me boring.
Well, the search for internships in the StL area continues. So far, I haven't heard back from anything but that doesn't mean I am going to give up. I'm going to get one, just you wait and see.
I wish I could tell you that I've been to some crazy ass parties, but that would be untruthful. Mostly my weekends have been hanging out weekends. I recently went to Shannon's for a girl's night, that was pretty fun. We played catch phrase, which is like, an amazing game. After that I went to Rachel's for the end of what became to be called "pint night." I was sober that whole time so it was pretty amusing. Sometime that weekend I played beer die for the second time and I unfortunately sucked. I don't think I will ever be able to live up to my first game in which I sank two cups. It's true people.
I put in my two weeks notice for The Home Depot. I'll be working on campus for the remainder of my college career, which is only another year. One more year, that's kind of daunting.
I'm enjoying my classes. Even my 9am class. Usually I LOATHE Tuesday Thursday classes because they are longer and always seem to drag, but to be honest, my T/R class, Organizational Behavior, is alot of fun and pretty interesting. The class always seems to go fast, so that good. All my other classes are going well. I like marketing, which is good, because it's my major. So sad that my second semester of junior year and I am just starting my concentration. Haha, good thing I like it or I would be in some trouble.

Racing the Sunset
Well, I not so recently returned from my parent's house, and at that time I was racing the sunset, mostly cause I don't like driving in the dark. Anyway...
So, my laptop is still down. I have no idea why. I went about to get it sent in but there was some miscommunication and I had to resubmit all the forms, so it is still at my apartment, unfixed. I'm only writing this now because I am at the school library, which is thankfully open due to December interim.
So, Christmas came and went. I got lots of gifts and I enjoy all of them. The wierd thing was is that it didn't feel like Christmas. I guess with working and school, it just all snuck up on me.
I got to go to StL to stay with Mark and his family the week before Christmas. Mainly because I wanted to spend time with him, and I also had an interview for a summer internship. I recently got news that I didn't get the internship, which is discouraging, but I guess you can't really expect to get the first one can you? Well, that aside, I'm still going to try my heart out to find one, not just because it will vastly improve my resume but I will get to be near Mark, which is why I usually dread the summertime.
School is about to start up again. I'm actually looking forward to it, as dorky as that sounds. While school does mean work, it also means parties and friends. Besides, I have alot I want to do this semester, so I wouldn't mind getting a head start on it.
Well, I think that's all I can muster up out of my brain. Being that its break, it's pretty damn hard to think of anything anymore, haha. Anyway, once my laptop situation is solved I will probably post alot more.

Return from the dead
Well, I haven't written in my blog in over a month. So sorry about that. Truth be told, I haven't had the time or the internet connection. You see, a couple weeks ago my computer decided to up and die. It's quite tragic. Hopefully the problem will be solved with the new $100 power cord I just bought and am waiting to receive in the mail.
I had my 21st. I got drunk. It was great.
Well, the after part may not have been great, but the day in general was. Mark gave me alot of special treatment which included going out for dinner at Il Spaz. I couldn't have imagined a more amazing birthday. Mark even took my first shot with me. I discovered that shots are gross, really gross, but really really warm. After about 3 shots I realized that it was much more pleasant to chase it with a beverage. Man, I'm dumb. Anyway, I just had people over at the apartment, Rachel made me a cake, which I couldn't taste at the time. All in all, awesome AWESOME birthday.
I should mention that it only took like 5-6 shots and I was pretty drunk.
Mark and I will have our two year anniversary on Sunday. I could not be happier being with anyone else.
I could bore you with all the school stuff that's been going on, but I know that everyone is busy, so you probably already have the gist of it.
I was going to have an interview in St. Louis last Friday, but a horrible ice storm caused them to reschedule it. It should be sometime during break now, I'm just waiting to hear back from them. I REALLY want this internship, hopefully I can get it locked down soon so I can find a place to live for the summer.
There isn't much more to update you all on. Oh, wait, there was also the Sig Tau formal. It was pretty awesome and a lot of fun. There was some drama (not much though), but I missed most of it cause my lame ass fell asleep at 12:30, man I suck. Being 21 I was able to go out and buy alcohol, and I am disappointed that each time I've been at HyVee they have not carded me, I've only been twice though. They didn't even card me on my birthday and I was standed there with a stupid smile on my face eagerly waiting to show them my 21 y/o ID. Oh well. I guess I got off topic there though, anyway, Sig Tau = awesome and the formal was a TON of fun. Also really good food too!
Alright, that's it. I just have finals next week and then I have X-mas break. I'll probably stay in the 'ville for most of it, but I think I am OK with that. Anyway, good luck with finals! Later!

Flat Tire
This past weekend, I finally got my tire fixed up, it had been leaking air and i had just been using a portable air compressor to keep it at the appropriate level. Well, I took it in to get the tire patched. Apparently the tire had a sizeable gash (I don't know how it went unnoticed by myself for so long) anyway, I was forced to buy a new tire. New tires are expensive and that sucks that I had to buy a new one, but at least I have a good tire now.
Speaking of new tires, I'll need it for Thanksgiving break. It's been, oh, well, I can't remember the last time I was home, it was sometime during the summer. I can't say I necessarily want to go home, its very different to go back to my old room and see it converted. None of my stuff is there and I feel like a guest in someone else's house. Anyway, Thanksgiving break will be nice, at least to just get out of Kville for a little bit. My grandparents are having their 50th anniversary and are putting together a BIG celebration and are renewing their vows in the church they were wed in. I will, of course, be attending. It should be really good, I really like my grandparents. The only unfortunate part will be that I have to come back a little early (Saturday night) cause I have to work early on Sunday. I bet it will be busy at the store. As most people know, the day after Thanksgiving (black Friday to those in the retail business) is the opening day of shopping season. Reminds me of when there is opening day for hunting seasons, but I think shopping is probably more dangerous and violent.

Mark and I went to the PSP formal for a little bit (Second Hand Glam) and we also rented and watched Lucky Number Slevin, which, I just remembered, I have not returned yet. Damn. Anyway, it was a pretty good and enjoyable movie. I liked it alot actually, it's a bit violent and the plot can be a little confusing, but after it all fell together I was very pleased.
This coming week should be a busy one. A couple different things due and two or three tests. I'm bound and determined to keep on top of everything, so we'll see how that goes, in fact, I'm going to start writing my computer program right now.
